I like this track. The layout is similar to the drag strips in the Mid-A. Check out the uploaded pics.
I was pissed that somebody crashed or whatever it was he did and delayed it for another hour. I spent $40 on refilling my bottle and $10 on 109 octane race gas. I only got 1 run in, so needless to say, I'm pissed. (I had to leave early to meet up with somebody, otherwise you guys know me.. I'd practically live at the strip.)

You missed out. Anything free is good. Plus, the staging pad was sticky as hell. I pulled a 1.762 short time without trying. Too bad my synchro f*cked up on me when going into 2nd.
Hey, I saw you drive to the track on my way back on 175!

It's definitely closer than Ennis, so I'll be going to this one from now on. Plus, I know a couple of guys who work there (they work/worked at Ennis).

As for not having the board lit, I'm not sure why, but it'll be lit starting tomorrow. Today was a trial day for the track, to see if everything was working. It was also supposed to be a 1/8 day, but they changed it to 1/4 at the last minute prior to opening the gates. Then someone couldn't control his car and crashed, which caused them to change it back to 1/8.

BTW, the reason why he crashed was because the track doesn't have enough rubber on it from people making passes yet. If they keep up with this kind of track prep, this is where I'll be making my record passes, I think.

On 175 just east of the Cotton Gin in Crandall. It is right off the highway, impossible to miss.

 

Well I hope it's faster than Ennis. I'm only leading the other FX's by .03 seconds, and my closest competitor just got a MREV2 and dyno tuned, and will be hitting up the track May 30, if not sooner.

 

I might have to check it out one day. Has anyone been to Redline out in Caddo Mills off I30?

I'm pretty swollen from the Root Canal yesteday, But feel much better, as the pain & throbbing has stopped. Woot ! Thank gawd for the pain meds.
