ive been in an out of this forum since 2003. i'm looking for a north dallas area person or a shop that is good at fiberglass repair. my 2003 350z has the jp aero vizage type-a body kit and my front bumper has a nice crack in it when i hit a curb too hard!

i'm trying to see if it'll be cheaper to have someone that can patch it up and paint it or just buy a new one. i'm guessing its probably cheaper to just get a new one but i'm not sure.

 

If it's just a crack I would think it would be cheaper to repair. It you're missing big chunks then maybe buy a new one. I dunno, maybe someone that knows more will chime in.

 

yea looks like a new one is 699/shipped plus whatever it costs to paint it chrome silver. i'm guessing another 50 for the paint and 100 for painting - i dont really know. i've done some fiberglass work before but is just time consuming for me and i'm not that good at it, nor care to deal with it. very annoying i paid 1200 shipped for the whole kit several years ago and now i see it listed on sites for 1450. guess because they arent making it anymore or something, i dunno.

 

You may be out close to $1,000 buying another one. I'd imagine you're better off with a repair.

I want to say I sold my last one in 2014 before moving to houston. Back in dallas now though.

 

I might try to see if some of the locals want to meet up, we did about year and half ago. Will post in here if we plan something
