yeah once you have kids its a differant story

I am not a home owner but isnt the A/C unit covered under homeowners insurance?
My parents went out this summer and I swear they said it was covered, but I am not sure.

It's covered under the warranty, our house has three ac units and 2 heaters one ac unit went out earlier this year and a heater last year. Total cost to fix the heater and replace a bad ac unit was $150 since the warranty covered it versus thousands if we didn't have the warranty. They also fixed a leak on another ac unit.

I have 3 AC unit also at my house. I've replaced one circuit board already this year & today I just found out I have to replace another. about $ 350.

I have an extended Home warranty that covers most everything, however I only pay a $55 co pay for each incident.

If you claim it on your Homeowners Insurance you will have to pay the deductible which is usually 1% of your home value...ie, 300,000 house will have a 3,000 deductible. So you are out of pocket 3k.

3 AC Units? Baller.. Wish we had at least even 2..crappy old house ftl.

3000$ Deductible damn sounds like you'll only need to claim if the entire unit goes out / need replacing..

Yeah when someone broke into our escalade we thought about claiming it on our homeowners since the car insurance only pays so much but the deductable wasn't worth it and your homeowners insurance could go up as well.

Anybody in here having an issue with their ps3? Mine doesn't wanna play blu rays or ps3 games, it still reads ps2,ps1 and regular DVDs. I've looked online and it seems to be a problem with a few people but I haven't found a solution yet, I think I'm gonna take it apart and dust it off from the inside. Or I could send it in and have Sony "fix" it. My brother in law sent his in and they ended up sending him a refurb that had the same problem as mine before that his wouldn't start up at all. They sent him another one recently and that one works but that took about a month and a half.

Not really I had to replace my 360 twice and i bought the ps3 and 360 at the same time. I bought an extended warranty on the 360 because I knew how faulty they were.

I like the xbox 360 online experience better and the controller for fps games..I like PS3 for blu-ray and fighting games like street fighter (but joystick ftw!).

But if it's not under warranty Sony charges a arm and a leg to fix (if there's seriously something wrong with it). Try to take a air compressor and blow all the dust out maybe. Or just go get the new slim!

My 360 has only been replaced once. It's fairly old, too. I kinda want it to break so I can get an elite with the bigger HD and HDMI.
