Default Houstonians... dyno-ing the Z this Friday, 29th August

Hey ya'll..... I've already installed the NISMO intake, so I figure I better get on the dyno before I do any more mods.

I'm going to Carboy at 9854 Bissonnet (Bissonnet between Beltway 8 and 59) for a session on the dyno. I'm hoping to get there by about 12:30 or 1:00.

Anyway, if ya'll are in the area or off work that day (I work half-days on Friday) come over and hang out.

Cheers!

Here's the results of three runs:

Run 1, in 4th gear @ just over 6,000 rpm
Pwer 231.2 Torque 222.4

Run 2, in 5th gear, same RPM
Power 233.2 Torque 228.4

Run 3, in 5th gear, same RPM
Power 239.2 Torque 232.7

only mod is the NISMO intake

The curves look very smooth. I tried to attach a scanned image of the dyno chart but to get it to upload I have to make it too small to read...

Anyone want to do a group dyno?

Hey Audito, do you have a 6MT or 5AT?

6mt...

I'll be adding NISMO headers in a few weeks, so I'll be ready for another dyno run. I'd be happy to get in on a group dyno-day.

Carboy is usually pretty good about setting up group dyno-days. A buddy of mine organized one... the deal was three pulls with air/fuel plot for $65 (normally $85).

I'll check with Carboy and see if they are willing to do a group dyno day. But... not till after I install the headers. They should be on the car in about two weeks... so it might be a week or so after that.

I'll post something when I have more details.
