RGV(Brownsville - Harlingen - Mcallen)
Hey Gilbert,
Things have died out lately but it might be picking up soon. Some of us hang out from time to time and mostly communicate with each other through Face Book.
Look me up bro David Vera (pic of me holding my baby boy). I'll let you know when we get together again.

What up RGV. My name is Nate and I have a 2003 automatic silverstone, touring edition. I just pushed 110,000 miles
After some Wingstop on sunday I pulled out of the parking lot and I heard a "clunk" from the transmission area. My car then went into a transmission limp mode...felt like I had no 1st gear...
The next day I checked the trans oil and it looked like it was still in good condition. Not unsually burnt, black or smelly. Then I cleared the codes(had only p1764, I searched it and something to do with the voltages from the sensors in the trans). I turned it on and limp mode was gone. I went down to stripes with no problems(gotta love that stripes... haha). No weird noises, hard shifting or anything unusual. So all I can think of is that the trans overheated/threw a bad voltage and put the trans into limp.
So now ima get a trans oil change fo sho. Id do it myself but id like an expert to take a look at the sensors and stuff while hes down there.
My question is: Do you all trust any shops for a simple transmission oil change down here in the valley? You know someone that knows the z and would respect her.
Thank you for any input from your past experiences, hope to chill with you all soon and keep driving homies.
