Talking Enkei RPF1 Wheels

Just placed an order for Enkei RPF1 (18x9.5 +15 & 18x10.5 +15) http://www.enkei.com/rpf1.html Sadly they are on back order till May 17th.

And working on a possible sponsorship with Yokohama. So I plan on running 245/35-18 & 275/35-18 Yokohama Advan A008. They are a new tire not yet released to the public. They will be replacing the Advan A048.

You will see me at the local tracks with them on.

Robert,

Can you PM me details of your order. I've been waiting for the black to be released again and I'd like to know how much you paid and where you ordered from. All the juicy details.

Currently running 255/35 & 285/35 19" Work S1's (19x9.5 & 19x11). Last time I talked with the Yoko rep those were the sizes that were recommended for the Enkei's.

I think you'll like them. Not my favorite style wheel but I'm not going for bling appeal on the road course. LOL I did get them in silver however considering powder coating them black.

I pre-ordered mine via Gruppe-S. When I contacted Enkei (about 2 wks ago) they told me that vendors had to order 40 sets (160 wheels) in black for them to produce them. This is why I went ahead and ordered silver and considering powder coating them black.

Color is a tough choice.

make sure whoever powder coats your wheels knows the correct temp to bake at...last thing you want to do is have a brittle *** wheel

DO something different instead of black, maybe a dark grey or a metallic color.

There's another member with the same wheels/offsets and he's running 285 in the back with no rubbing or rolling. And he's in factory alignment. You gotta remember that these are 18" wheels, not the typical 19" Volks everyone has.

yeah but thats just like saying people who run 275's wont rub if they went to 285's. in fact, if you are running +18 which is very common with volks, if you dont roll your fenders and run a bit of camber you cant run 285's in the rear without rubbing. he very well might be able to run +15 295/35 but depending on his drop, i would guess he could very well rub.

It isn't... few people going on hpde on powercoated rpf1 have the rim break under stress... I'm keeping mine silver.. one day with race pads and they'll be gunmetal

P.s. don't go too staggered, you already added enough weight upfront to make that car understeer...
