Default Bodyshop question

I woke up this morning after a long night, and to my horror, it seems some truck backed into my front bumper and scratched and dented it all up and took off. I was actually wondering if this could be a blessing in disguise. I was looking to upgrade the bumper to either chargespeed type 2 or a v3 anyways, but does anyone know how that would work with the insurance company and all? Do I just take it to the body shop i would want to paint the new bumper, let them do an estimate and have my insurance cut me a check so i put it towards a new bumper? Also, any suggestions on good body work in dfw area?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

I jus called Details LTD and they lady that answered, actually tried to persuade me not to paint my car a different color, well my GF's car at least, Whats up with that? She went own about how if I valued my car I wouldnt do it??, Newayz besides that I think the price is fair, but I havent EVER had a car repainted.
Is 4000$ resonable to re- spray a 2007 Sentra?

Why does the car need to be re-sprayed? I believe it doesn't bring the value down.

Well we have to replace one fender, front bumper, and a few other things that all needed to be repainted from accidents shes been in, but as far as changing the colors that is her preference , she wants to stand out amongst the thousands of B16's in DFW, we'll see how it goes

Thanks for the replies. I tried googling J&M, but nothing came up. How do I get in touch with them? I searched on this site and found a phone number for Jose. I left a message, but no return. Does anyone know the shops number or location?

if your going through your insurance, you need to call them first b4 you take your ride in, i work for an insurance co. some may have you go to a shop to get an estimate first then you can take it to your shop of choice, but all insurance co. have diff steps. but they all want you to call them first
