Default Does anyone have a PS3 I can borrow...

I want to see how the Netflix movies work on it before I spent $300.00 for one. I will come to you to pick up and deliver. I would only need it for one day.

Thanks

No all of my friends are either too old and don't know what a PS3 is or too broke to be able to afford one.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting anyone I didn't know to go for it, but maybe someone that I have talked to at one of the meets. I have no problem putting up collateral if needed.

Why not just buy one? You can always return it if you don't like it..

to my understanding, Netflix IS NOT COMPATIBLE with PS3... XBOX 360 only.

it even shows this info on the netflix home page... under list of compatible devices... I admit, Blu-Rays are EXTREMELY NICE, so there's no loss to getting one anyway, but you CANNOT stream to your PS3 as far as i know. I have the same predicament, PS3, Netflix Account, and no streaming. I'm just going to get a 100Ft VGA cable from Newegg and run it from my computer over to my Plasma. It also worked good with my laptop, external screen VGA and headphone jack to the PC input section on the TV, and Wireless capable... i would say unless you like some of the XBOX games, there's really no point in buying an XBOX for that reason alone, the cost just isnt justified.

They sell a dedicated converter box for Netflix, i think is 99 bucks. Far better than blowing double that for a netflix xbox.

Hope this helps.

They just released or are about to release a disc that let's you use netflix on ps3 I don't have a netflix account so I don't know how good it is but If it's as good as Hulu it would be worth it.

OK, so is Blue Ray worth the extra $4.00 a month Netflix charges? I average 15-20 movies a month.

They used to never charged extra for Blu-Ray.... Do you have a HDTV? Blu-Ray picture is a big difference..worth it is probably up to you. Rent one see if you like it first.

I didn't like the service they offered for Xbox Live. Too man C-list movies and crap I'd never even heard of.

I have the 3 at a time unlimited from Netflix (witch also includes unlimited "watch instantly" movies) for $18.00. If I add the Blue ray option its an additional $4.00 plus tax per month. I can cancel the Blue ray anytime so I figure I might as well get one or two and see what it is all about.

I love the blu-ray, great picture quality, not really through composite though... i've tried it both ways, (composite and HDMI) HDMI is def. win...

there has only been a few movies in BRD that i havent noticed a real difference. Those were movies where they "remastered" it and re-released on BRD. Sometimes you run across on that really doesnt matter and/or doesnt show any difference...

Another plus of buying the BRDs is that some of them... if not all come with a digital copy, thats always great as it keeps me from having to convert file formats from ripping and dealing with quality issues... one of my tedious hobbies...
