I'm glad to know that you found a place that you can be happy and follow your passion. I was just suggesting that you started a career for ten years and you were half way to retiring. I'm at 19 years now and have received numerous offers for $150k+ jobs.

What really matter is that you're happy. Question is how long will you stay with the forum before you sell and roll will the vettes?

Been there, done that (contracting). I work in Kuwait for just over a year as a contractor making a lot more money ($100k+ hence the mod on the Z). However you need to take in several other factors. 1) Away from my wife/family... I figured it up one time that in the 7+yrs of marriage (not including the 2 yrs dating) we've only been together 1 3/4yrs. 2) The middle east is the asshole of the world. Was there in '00, '06 &, '07-'08. I have no intentions of returning (since I landed this job.) 3) Money isn't everything. It has felt good when the customers pick up there car and they are smiling from ear-to-ear. I physically see a true result of my work. Plus I love my job. I honestly, for the first time in my 16+yrs of working, wake up excited to go to work. I have a great relationship with my bosses and I enjoy what I do. 4) I wasn't happy in the USAF anymore nor doing fire protection. I could've easily continued in fire fighting but my wife is more important. I want to be home for birthdays & anniversary, holidays & weekends. Military life & fire fighting doesn't allow that.

Lastly I have no intentions of selling my 350Z. And maybe I will roll with some Vette owners. But so? I know who my true friends are and know who to call when needed. And not all of them drive 350Zs.

That's outstanding! The job offering that I have are in the Houston/Baytown area (warehouse director).

It's good to know that there are really some true car guys here and you really are one! I don't think we meet in person, but I know I've seen your car at the monthly meet. Maybe at the next one. Once again congrats on the job and if any of my vette friends are looking for some performance work, you'll be recommended.

EnglandGreen was working on this C5 6sp when I was hired. The owner also added a clutch to his new cam and had to break it in before we dyno tuned it.

2004 MN6, EnglandGreen Mayhem II cam™, stock heads, longtubes, high flow cats, cold air intake, cutouts.

We finished this C6Z a couple weeks ago. The video doesn't do this car justice on how sexy it sounds!!! And my ears are still bleeding from video taping the dyno pull!!!!

2006 Z06 EnglandGreen Whiplash II cam™, Headers, high flow cats, CAI, stock heads

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.
