Default Welcome to Awesome Z!

Heya folks

This is your official into to Awesome Z! We've been here all along right under your noses. Some of you might already know about us, we've seen a few of you in for repairs and upgrades already but now we are official My350z.com sponsors!

A bit about what we do

As my sig states, we are a FULL SERVICE Nissan shop with a racing heritage. We are here to cover your needs for anything Nissan! Anything from your regular preventative maintenance, performance upgrades, complete overhauls and big horsepower builds. From your high powered boosted Z33, to your ol' granny's 200k Nissan Quest. The only services we cannot provide are automatic transmission overhauls and exterior paint+body work. We also service other quality Japanese makes, and have a bit of a soft spot for Mopar products.

Our shop labor rate is $78 an hour, what does your regular shop charge? $85, $90+ /hr? We are not ballers, we don't drive luxury cars with massive wheels. We don't expect you to be either. When we give you an estimate, we do our absolute best to include everything that your car may need and give it to you straight. Times are tough but your Z still needs your attention, we can fit inside your budget.

Services we perform that you may not find elsewhere

Alignments - We have a state of the art Hunter infrared alignment machine. We can handle your standard front end alignment at a competitive cost, and we can also set you up with quality aftermarket adjustable suspension parts to take care of the angles that manufacturers sometimes do not give us provisions for.

Turning brakes - We do a LOT of brake jobs. If it's looking like you need a brake job and circumstances dictate that you should have your rotors resurfaced ( or turned ) we've got you covered!

Paint work - We've got you so very covered here. Any engine part or small body part you want painted, or bead blasted and painted. There's a couple cats here that are itching for some paint work. A lot of credit to the finished product of a painted item is involved in the prep work, and we have a boatload of proper supplies and solutions to ensure that paint sticks properly with no "trash" or "fish eyes".

Who we are

Awesome Z has been a family owned and operated shop since 1995, before then Doug and TP have had decades of experience working for Nissan directly.
On top of that, Doug most likely has hundreds of hours of seat time in organized racing events behind the wheel of Nissans and Datsuns.

You can check out the full story, pictures and videos of our work at our homepage.

www.awesomez.org

There you can find our contact info as well.

I've been around the forum here for a little while now and look forward to being even more active as the voice of Awesome Z. Feel free to pm me with any questions or inquiries you may have.

Thanks,
Brett

Haha, that's one of the good things about the shop name, we slap that word on just about anything and it's almost like its copyrighted.

P.S. I posted this dyno video of a car we finished a little while ago, it can also be found on our homepage.

Thanks! It still needs work, but you should have seen it before. I plan to keep it updated pretty regularly and keep some fresh material on the calendar. And thanks Chrispy for the kind words.

Keep an eye on this thread folks, I'm going to try to work out some specials on aftermarket parts for you Z33 guys. As in discounts for installs.

We're now up on Facebook as well. I'll be making periodic updates with what's been going on at the shop, at racing events and also making general announcements for our friends/customers/fans.

Replied pony killer

ZKansasZ , there are plenty of performance shops here in Houston, but we are a bit more than that. We can cover work that most performance shops just don't or won't do.

Nope. It's a lift style rack. I haven't seen anything yet that we couldn't get up there though. Some well placed wood gets the lower cars up no prob.
