LS2 or Twins or DIE!!!
heres the deal though....looked at the ls2 thing myself, and if you have to pass any kind of emissions testing then it's a no go. State of Texas doesn't allow swaps between makes. It's weird....but it won't pass emissions IF you have to pass them. Don't know what your county does....but if you can pull it off then more power to you!

and you could shove cats in there somewhere, but when they hook up to the computer and it saves 02 corvette and it's obviously a nissan then it'll fail.
but that only matters if you're in a county that requires it...

But yeah, I've heard about how swapping engines isnt good as far as the year and make. I'm sure I'll be good to go though.
Who else jams to Tears for Fears?? hahaha I'm rockin out
any of those seem reasonable. all depends on you in the end. you can make good power on the autos. we have two from the shop that have made in excess of 550whp on the auto, of course both of them were built.
Twins seem more streetable to me for some reason cause when I'm just trying to accelarate on the edge of moderate to fast the turbo just slams on. Kinda like there is no middle ground for one larger turbo. I'm guessing twins wouldnt do that as much from things I've read in the past, but I could be wrong since I dont know first hand.
BUT that could just be the world of boost all together, and that's how it is with most all turbos. Idk

Well, I no longer have the 350z. It was totalled Monday morning. Too bad I wasn't even boosting to get my money's worth. Not sure what I'm gonna do now. But I guess there's no LS2 or engine built for now.

^^^ word, where at? And what happened?
Sucks to hear another one went down....
Probably won't get any money from the mod's, but you might also be able to go to the junk yard and grab a few things?

Robert doesn't know what he is talking about here. You can find H/C LS2's over 550hp all day long. The LS2 is the MOST versitile platform of the LSX motors as far as options are conserned. Please do some research before spreading incorrect information.
The LS3 block is an updated version of the LS2 casting featuring a larger bore of 4.06 in (103.1 mm) creating a displacement of 6,162 cc (6.162 L; 376.0 cu in). It also features higher flowing cylinder heads sourced from the L92, a more aggressive camshaft with 0.551" lift, a 10.7:1 compression ratio, a revised valvetrain with 6 mm (0.24 in) offset intake rocker arms, a high-flow intake manifold and 47 lb/hr fuel injectors from the LS7 engine.
Isn't that possible to do with an LS2? I can get an LS2 for 4k and the LS3 costs 10k. I can get 500 rwhp out of the LS2 for much less then the 6k difference. Atleast it would seem that way. ****, there's even a junkyard in my city that has a complete LS1 engine for $650

Correct.
Everything that makes the LS3 a LS3 can be swapped over to an LS2 with few or no modifications required. In fact I'm swapping ported LS3 heads with FAST 102 intake and custom cam over the winter.

Yeap... You're right.
Yes it was, but I bought a black one to replace it, so game on!!!!!! Now, that I got another one and feel better, I can post again.
I'm going to do the LS2 swap for sure now. I was either gonna buy a C5 Zo6 or get another Z for the Swap.
I spoke with my main dude at Bailey's Hyperformance in Fort Worth, and we are confident that an LS2 swap 350z is much more kick *** than a Zo6. I'm sure he wouldn't mind some extra money for the Install either, but still.
I also bought a Manual Tranny 350z. I've owned like 7 or so cars and they were all Auto. This Manual thing isn't so bad though, it's fun if you're doing it right.
