Greetings Nissan Enthusiasts,

First off, we apologize for the delay in getting this info out to you. This month we have a nice surprise for our members.

Texas Motorplex will be having an LTI Ultimate Street Day from 8am to 5pm. Gates open at 8am and "Test and Tune" begins at 9am. We will be meeting at TigerBulls at 11:30am Saturday morning for a quick lunch, then we will cruise as a group down 45 out to Texas Motorplex.

Afterwards we will return to Dallas and meet up once again at TigerBulls around 6:00pm where we will meet up with the people that couldn't make the track and our special guest.

As a treat for our members, we have invited Mark Budenhagen, the Parts Manger for North Texas Nissan, to come out and meet with the group. He will be bringing with him Nissan performance parts along with a few NISMO parts to sell and to show off. He will be available for questions and will be bringing a few catalogs should there be anything else you might want. As some of you may know, North Texas Nissan is one of our supporting dealerships and gives DNE members discounts on OEM and aftermarket parts.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or know wether or not you will be able to make it, feel free to post here or on the Nissan Forums thread. If you are not registered with Nissan Forums, when you do, ignore the 48 hour waiting period. That does not apply to our section.

Meet List

 

Thanks for the info. Some of us are heading out to Ennis early in the morning. I will probably be leaving soon after you guys show up. Hope to see you out there around noon!

 

UPDATE

In order to spend a good amount of time at the track, we've decided to change the times around a bit. For those of you that will be eating at TigerBull's prior to going to the track we will meet at 10:30am. For the rest of you that won't be eating at TigerBull's for lunch, please arrive at 11:30am. We will gather everybody up and discuss traveling plans and leave TigerBull's at 12 noon sharp!

If you cannot make it to TigerBull's by that time and may need arrive in Ennis later, we will be cruising south down I-45 to exit #251B. From there you will turn right and travel down Hwy 287 through downtown Ennis. The track is approximately 6 miles from I-45. You will see the track on the right. You can't miss it.

The motorcycle show is this weekend. I will be going to that on Saturday.

 

Is it not faster to use 35 instead?

 

Well, in my personal opinion, no. 35 is two lanes with quite a bit of construction and it's a pretty busy highway in general. 45 however is three and four lanes between here and Ennis and is not nearly as heavily used as 35. It's a less stressfull cruise and quicker IMO. I've takin 45 almost every time except for the few times I used 35 when I first started going. I'll never use 35 again. But that's me.
