Hi my company is looking at moving me down to Austin. I was wondering how the car scene is, what are some good areas to go, and what is there to do for fun? I like going to bars and clubs at night but really enjoy car meets and car shows.

 

Definitely the right place for bars and clubs if you're into that. I'm a member of centexvq.com a g35 group and 350z in the mix and it's a pretty active car club so check it out!!

There are lots of things to do in Austin, so that will not be hard to figure out. As far as the car scene I've been out of it for awhile now. Obviously there is something going on late at night near north 183, since I was driving home and a car club with about 8 cars were trying to entice me to run on the highway two nights ago. It looked like they exited to enter a parking lot in a home depot or something.

Parmer Lane has a meet on Saturday nights around 10:30pm at a matress factory outlet.
There are also meets at this parking garage a lil out of the way so people dont mess with us and some other meets here and there. Alot of shows to go to, Heat Wave, IMO, CupCake Meet, just always something going on
