Default Seized front coilovers

Hey guys, I've been trying to unseize my front Stance GR+ coilovers. I've blasted pb blaster and tried hammer and everything, but no luck. Does anyone know of a shop locally that will unseize them for me? I need to raise it because I just turboed and have been rolling on my stock suspension and is killing me because I'm rolling like a boat.... Any advice or recommended places would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you need a vice and a pipe wrench. Or maybe a good strap wrench so you don't damage it.

ah - i've always adjusted height on my other vehicles coilovers with collars - hope you get it free - you could always send it in and get it repaired? oh wait nm - your talking about where the shock body sits in the lower bracket on the lower a arm - eyah soak that thing with supco - its likely got sand and grit in it - i wrapped my coilover wrenches with gloves and ductape and i made a tool to aid in such things as well - you can see them on the floor in this picture - lock the collars together and i use that big *** breaker/coilover wrench bar - sorry if i am missing what you are really talking about... i'm new

It's not the lower perch James. It's the height adjusting fork. Hope you get an answer. I think the previous owner screwed them up worse

Is this type of thing common with coilovers, or is it seen more on the budget brands?

i think its proper preparation before adjustment that is the key -

i suggest a soft wire brush clean the threads and throw some lube on before you start spinning the collars more than it is related to "budget brands" and good to do on the lower perch threads as well.

- i'm also a big fan of not having aluminum locking collars - like KW, they have a composite collar rather than an aluminum one, i love that, the aluminum ones get worn down and chipped up and the anodized coating goes away - none of that affects much - accept the worn down part and that shouldn't happen if you take the collars off properly -

finally - the proper solution is to get some magnetic coilovers - so you can adjust the ride height like a mf'r without an air compressor and bags - and keep your performance and front bumpers and exhausts -

yay!
