Default Trying to find a job in the Austin area

Hey guys maybe I'm venting because I'm fraustrated or looking for help. I'm looking at moving to the Austin area (and if you could suggest good areas to look at i.e. round rock) but I want to have a job lined up for when I come down (pretty much need to have one to get an apartment). I feel my resume gets over looked because I still live in NJ. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!!

You need to get a Austin Address, I believe your resume is getting overlooked. My cousin just moved from philly to Austin and it took 3 weeks to find a good job after changing his address in philly to my address in Austin without any experience in the field other than just graduating with a BA in business. I know of 3 people that have found a new job in the last 3 weeks, the economy is pretty good here. Emerson is hiring for a position right now but they haven't posted it yet, insider information.

We have a corporate office/call center there. We are always hiring. Check Apple's Website.

You could, just remember that some jobs like doing a 3 stage interview process. If you are in NJ how are you going to attempt to make it through these types of interview process. You could, I'm just giving you something to think about. Good move by the way from moving from NewJersey to Austin, Austin is a hell of alot better, I use to live in NewJersey.

Yea I hate Jersey and I just always heard great things about Texas. The problem I'm having is I can't sign a lease for an apartment without having a job. I understand about the interview process. I'm coming down at the end of Feb. just hoping to have interviews lined up then.
