Default My car was broken into.

I stepped outside of my office to be greeted with a busted window and my entire center console along with my aftermarket headunit/radar/cubby missing. They also managed to scratch up my door so my question is are there any shops in the Dallas area that y'all would recommend for painting and doing the work on my interior? Insurance was asking and I figured I would ask around before I decide on something. Forgive the brief overview I'm on my phone. I'll throw up a pic later. Thanks.

Wow, that's crazy that they took the whole center console... Sorry to hear.

Do you have an alarm? A decent alarm will cost about $500, but since that's what mostly peoples deductibles are it kinda makes sense to just do the alarm.

Only problems with alarms is that someone has to pay attention to it and call the cops. Get real! How many times have you heard an alarm going of and didn't even pay attention to it?

I like the one I saw out of S. Africa with the flame throwers. Doesn't rely on the kindness of others

Try autopage...they will page you if your alarm goes off. Call Kustomz Unlimited for install on it. They can get you taken care of on the alarm and will show you how to operate everything.

Actually, there's tons of alarms on the market that will page you when your alarm is going off. They're called 2 way alarms. I've had my 2 way alarm alert me twice to my car being messed with. The nicer ones have really great range, as well.

Check out Directed Electronics aka DEI. They're the makers of Viper, Hornet, and several other great alarms. Get a 2-way pager system with a battery backup, tilt sensor, and radar or glass break sensor. I'd go for the glass brake sensor on a coupe and the radar on a convertible. A system like that will drastically reduce the chances of your car being tampered with.
