Default texas emissions question

Hey All (Howdy)

I am about to move to Texas in a month from Florida. I needed some info on whether my Z (as is) will pass emissions in Texas or not. In Florida, there are no emmision check.

I have a 07 350Z Enthusiast Coupe (HR) with BERK metallic HFC and Nismo S- tune exhaust (no ecu tuning done). Will I be able to pass emissions ? ?

If NOT, then is putting stock CATs back the only solution ? ? Is there anything that I should know about emissions in general about Texas ? ?

Thanks in advance

Dude i run headers, resonated test pipes and custom dual exhaust and i still pass every year lol. Where I'm at they don't do a sniffer test just an obd2 check to see if there are any codes related to the exhaust.

You just need to not have SES/CEL light and you'll be fine. If anything, just go to some ghetto shop that does emissions testing and pay cash for das hookup

darn . . my CEL is on cause of the berks HFC . . . i can clear it , but it will reappear after 20 miles of driving or so. Only way to fix that would be to disable the code in a tune.

Whats the thing with buying stickers ? why do i need them ?

I'm assuming the CEL is still on? If so, you can't be "passed". You have to just buy a sticker from someone. Otherwise get a CEL eliminator and no more CEL. Then you'll at least be in the system as passed.

You could also just take the car to UpRev in Austin and have them turn off the cat CEL. You'll even pick up a few ponies too.
