Default Help with wheel test fitment

Hey DFW Z guys I need some help if anybody is willing take some time out to help a former Z owner.

For the rear of my Supra TT I'm looking to run 19x10.5 +22 with either:

285/30/19
285/35/19
275/35/19

Unfortunately the Supra's fitment is not as forgiving as the Z car. The lowest suggested offset is +35 with fender roll. I know this is a common fitment for the 350Z/G35. There doesn't seem to be a Supra owner in town that's running this aggressive of an offset so that is why I'm asking the Z community

If anybody is running the above specs. it would be very helpful if I could borrow your wheel/tire for 10 mins to do a test fit and take measurements on how much I need to stretch my fenders and/or cut my wheel well. I'm in the Dallas area and I can meet you wherever. Please PM me if you are willing to help. Much appreciated.

Hey, Jim! Been a long time since I've seen you around here.

You might be better off asking the G crowd, as they tend to lean more on the show side and go with those sizes.

If you never end up finding someone, you can try mine out. I don't have the exact wheel size and offset you're looking for but I have 265/35/18 and 285/35/18 mounted on 9.5" wide +12 wheels. According to an offset calculator, your new offset wheel will extend 3 mm further than mine. If you're interested in the inner clearance, it will have 23 mm less than mine. You might not get exactly what you're looking for, but at least you'll be able to get an idea for any body rubbing issues.

Hello Sir,

I had some Volks that were 19x10.5 +22 on the rear of my Z and I ran 275/40/19's with no issues.

I currently have a set of track tires that are 18x9.5 & I run 285/35/18's +15 on the Z with no rubbing.

If I had my Volks still I would let you test fit...I hope you find out what you need to.

I know....I realized that I didn't mention that his Supra could probably go with the 275/35/19.....because I ran 40's and with his 35's he would most likely be ok.

Thanks CP !

But the supras cannot run as an aggressive offset with ease like the z does. Maybe try to find supras on the forum that runs similiar offset/tire size?

hey Jim?

www.texassupras.com for all your local yokals -

if your near plano i have some works i'd love to flop on your supra but i'm waiting for my wheel lock to come in because i'm a gd idiot or i'd say lets puttem on your car and see what they look like, but i do have some 18x10's +20 and some 10mm spacers and some 5/16 spacers - i have a buddy coming over Sunday and we are going to be rolling fenders if you want to swing by - I'll be ripping apart a Subaru as well -

i will say that the +22 is prob the most you can do - and i would suggest just cutting your fenders but rollin' flat is an option as well - there isn't a lot of camber adjustment in the supra either -

congrats on the TT though - its not another red or black one is it? lol
