Question Capital Z of Texas Mini Hill Country Cruise & Lunch

Anybody on here going to this? I thought I might check out this club and some other Z's in the Austin area...

1/24/2004 - Capital Z of Texas Mini Hill Country Cruise & Lunch
Capital Z of Texas is hosting the first cruise of 2004 on Saturday January 24, 2004. We will meet at the top of the Trilogy parking garage (5100 Plaza on the Lakes) near the 360 bridge at 10:00am. There will be a short drivers meeting at 10:20am and we will leave promptly at 10:30am. The route will take us on the the infamous Lime Creek Rd. then Nameless rd. back to Round Rock with our final destination being Rudy's BBQ in Round Rock for lunch.

Unfortunately, I can't make it as I have to go to a birthday party for my niece (she's turning 16; maybe I should give her a DE day for her birthday so Jeff can teach her how to actually drive)

I digress, I would really like to make it to the cruise. Rodel always seems to plan these when I am going to Houston After all this may be my last opportunity for a cruise in the Z.

You should definitely go. We have had a good time with Rodel, Christopher and the rest on previous drives. Good folks. Rodel used to post this stuff here, but I don't think the 350Z turn out has been as good as I would hope. I know I have been lax in my turn out to the meetings. Hell, I may not be an actual member any longer.

Anyway, you should go.

Okay, Moroccan_Mole and I are planning to take the trip there, and meet you guys at Austin... anyone else from Houston wanna join us? We will probably leave around 8AM around I-10/Mason Road..

If you have never been to Austin for the Lime Creek drive, you are missing it!!

ps- all these will be fine if the weather permits

I'll be there, if its not raining. Should be fun. Last time I went on Lime Creek Rd. with the Z club, there was 5 sherrif's involved.

Default Stupid weather...

Darn stupid weather...I forgot about that. Weather forecast say's it's supposed to be raining all day...dang it!!!! Well, I won't know until the last minute I guess, I'd prefer to cruise in the dry, I'm always miserable in rainy weather.

You can take my car Chris, I'm gonna be in Colorado

Somehow I think they'd probably rather have your monster S2K along though.

Glad to see that there is more interest from the 350Z crowd.

This drive will go as scheduled regardless of weather. At our last drive last November, we had ~30 cars come out and it rained. Unfortunately there were no 350Z's We really can't postpone the drive as this is our club event for the month of January. Let's just hope the weather holds up for us as I'd like to do the drive top down

Cris, you're more than welcome to join us. Our events are always open to anyone.

Looking forward to seeying y'all out there

I might go to this one.... pending how tired I am...
Get off work at 2am saturday morning.

Is anyone down for hanging out saturday night?

We can go cruise downtown and hit up a nice warehouse district bar - OSLO or Red Fez or/and Lucky Lounge...

Or go to Penthouse Men's Club

21 and Up only...

Why not postpone it to Sunday? Its supposed to be nice on Sunday and thats only one day late.

Regardless, I will still go even if it is raining.

I'll have to try to make the next one, I've gotta hot date this weekend. Can't miss that. Congrats on the first birthday, nisslow! I was down in Austin for my neice's last Aug. and it was hilarious (cake everywhere). So good luck.

Thanks!

Here are some pics from a previous cruise on lime creek road -----> http://www.everything350z.com/gal2/TexasCruise

This is one of my favorite shots - me taking the pic while crusing ------>

We met up at Rudy's and headed out to Marble Falls. From there we ended up in Temple. A little long for a cruise but it was awesome.

One thing I have learned is that the "international" hand signal for I need to pis* is DQ (Dairy Queen) - sorry had to be there. Anyways, not to take away from the original thread.........
