Hi, I would like to find out how many people on this forum from TX might be interested getting clear bra for their Z? I have a friend that he's planning installing a lot of clear bra for every type of vehicles. He's setting up something with one of 3m distributor, and he will be using the latest 3m product which is the newest 3m using for their aero space. It has much better quality of flexing and clear coat, instead of the old muggy look. i will be getting mine next week, as soon I get the emblem shave and bumper repaint it. All clear bra will be custom precise cut to tailor made for every type of bumper. Even if you have Nismo or any other type. I thought I help out all the local members to see if possibly to get a group buy going? but first I need to find out how many people will be interested? and I will be posting pictures sometime next week to demonstrate the quality. Also, the friend that I'm working with, he own a body shop, so if anyone need any additional body work, I could hook you up with a deal as well. you could pm me, or email me at vballdallas1@comcast.net.

Cool, JJ! I will let y'all know next week, and I will post as many pictures as possible. I just want to get a feel on how many would be interested? I've already got Tim (T32gzz) interested as well. I hoping that if I could get about 10 people together, then I could tell him to give y'all a good deal. The installer will be shaving off my emblem and re-paint my bumper as well. So, I will be showing the quality of the body work as well. When ever it is all done, I could give you a shout and meet up with you.

the reason why I am helping him promoting, is that he's part owner of a body shop, and it is located by Harry hines( next to Sam Moon), mostly he deal with Korean speaking customer. So, he's trying broaden his business by attracting customer with clear bra. He does a lot of work on high end eurpean and import cars.

so, if anyone else is interested, let me know, so I could pass it on to him. and hopefully come up with some good deals.

Tim(T32gzz) has a Nismo bumper, so It will be custom cut to fit exactly for it. So, anyone else with Nismo bumper, will be a good time to get in on it.

 

Just got my bumper back from the shop and I thought I show y'all some pic to see the work he does..
Going back to the shop to get it buff and add on the clear bra.

Also, My friend had his bumper painted as well. and he will get his clear bra install on Sat as well.

The quality are awesome, He was able to match the paint exactly to the original. he also add several clear coats to protect the paint.

Usually he charge something like from $350-$400, because I had my emblem shaved. He had to sand all the paint off, so it would be perfectly smooth.

also, here is a picture of my friend with clear bra install today..
I will get my done next week... have to order the pre-cut kit.
I will also ask them to change up the pattern a little bit in order to add addtional coverage to all the little area. Will scan a diagram in a few day to show more detail..

 

here is another close up.... he had previously had clear bra done to his hood last year using the older 3m material. You could see the difference in the quality in person.

 

zisbak....love the shaved front end....i really want to do that as well...does that price you quoted above include the clear bra or just paint? Let me know when we can take a look at it!

thost price that I quoted is only for the paint job and shaved emblem. Does not included the clear bra, the clear bra are additional $300-$350 for the bumper.

I should get mine clear bra install sometime next thursday or Friday. The weather is going to be pretty bad for the next few days, so I want to wait until the weather gets better, so I could leave the car outside and dry up by the sun. Just got back from carwash earlier, and I was able to put wax on the clear bra on my hood, and it look great!! It shine just like the paint.
