It was a red 2 door Civic w/ gold Volk Racing wheels (i believe). I have to admit I thought he was a ricer at first, but I should have known considering how bad it seemed he wanted to run. We ran a few times from 1st gear, like 5mph went on 3 honks, we were dead even, I coudnt believe it.

I asked what he had done and he said all motor. I was like your kidding, I thought he was spraying or something. He was like you can pull over and look. I said, you have cams? He said, yeah something stage 3 w/ built motor. I asked, you did it yourself and he said, yeah I work at Jotech. I told him I have a buddy with a civic that has a GSR swap running (conservative) 8lbs of boost, and I pull a car on him. Btw he runs 13.80-13.70's on drags.

I asked him if he ran it at the track, and he beileves it will run low 13's. I assume on drag radials/slicks, b/c I think my car is a mid 13 (ran a Mach 1 and he ever so slightly pulled on me). I was very impressed and told him very nice!

I think I would have pulled on him if my gas tank was about 1/2 to a 1/4 full and I didnt have a passenger. I ran with a full tank, too heavy, my car runs best between 1/2-1/4.

 

Funny you mention that. That is my boy Justin who does all the work on my TT. I talked to him last night, and he told me about you. He said he has been looking for a non turbo Z to beat up on. His car is quick, and I can verify, it is all motor. 12:1 compression, it has to be!

Tell him very nice and congrats, I give him props. When he gets his car tuned and gets his tranny fixed and I am 10 gallons of gas and one girl lighter, maybe we can run again.

You can mention to him, I was also watching my music dvd , and that my car is an auto, with only a CAI. I still think the auto's are faster than the 6 spd 350z's, but I still havent found one to race.

I have been too. I have found 2 g35c's though. Both 6spd's, and I beat them pretty bad, one with alot of mods and my old buddy from highschool with just a CAI. Has he raced any G's, how was the race?

My buddy with the G35c, when I last saw him, he said he had a body kit ordered so he can fit a front mount. I believe I saw him pass by and he does have the kit on and I guess he wasnt kidding when he said he also has his greddy TT kit on order also.

 

Not sure, I see your car up at the gas station every once and a while but I am always at work. I see you took your rims off and put the stock wheels back on? Was it becuase your offsets were way off?

I never did get to run you in my heads/cam WS6. I think I would have pulled you pretty hard.

You will beat the TT 350Z. I never thought these car were made for boost. Hell that one tt ran a 13.00 flat with 400 rwhp, pretty weak if you ask me. I could be wrong though.?.

 

I got someone you can run. My buddy Roy with the civic just called me to let me know he completed his project. He just balanced his motor (all rotating assemblies), stroked it to a 2.2L, added a quaffe (sp) limited slip diff, aem engine management; just dynoed 507 fwhp on 25lbs of boost w/race gas. He is going to race it tomorrow. He thinks he will be in the 11's@130+mph.

For everyday street driving he will be running 14-16lbs of boost.

yeah i sold the wheels for some other wheels, but now that i got that $400 ticket wheels will have to wait a month or 2

 

u might have pulled me pretty hard off a hwy roll but i lost count of how many heads/cam ls1s i've beat from the dig.and i only put out 340rwhp .. i'll run the Civic .. remember that with a stall converter, the car loses efficiency from a roll..but its all good.. i'll run off a roll if they run me from a dig!

Very very nice bobby. I know you would get me from a stop no doubt, I could never launch my car being that it was a 6spd.

Roy is getting back in town on monday, and I will see him on tues. I will ask if he would run you. He may want to do it at the track, but I dont know yet.?. I will let you know. He has no roll cage yet so he will be kicked off the track after the first pass.

He built cars with the guys at www.pfispeed.com and ran against jotech at national events.

I talked to Justin again, and he said he actually pulled you by about a car and a half. He told me to ask you how you would be able to tell that his car was blowing smole unless you were behind him.

I'm not trying to start anything, just wanted to relay his message.

 

I actually started behind him, my front bumper at his side door. Also he honked 3 times, I wasnt sure what that was. So in actuality he started first. When I was beside him I could look back and see the smoke. He did pull me by alittle right from the start then we were dead even (kinda like getting off the tree first).

We can run again if he wants, once from a dead stop also. I guess he forgot to mention that he screwed up shifting so I beat him like that also, I just let off. I could have kept the gas down but I didnt want to be a jackass.

 

Screw it, I dont want to make excuses like a girl, he won. Like I said he thinks his car is a 13.00 sec car and I think mine is a mid to high 13 car. I also love the fact that his car is all motor.
