Pics of Tuner WB Mount
Where in the hell is everyone mounting their Turboxs widebands?
I recently got the Tuner WB and can't think of anywhere to mount the big ugly box. The Z's interior is sleek and rounded and I can't think of anywhere to mount this thing in plain sight that won't look out of place.
I was thinking of using the 1-5v output of the Tuner WB and sending it to the signal harness on my Profec E0-1 or maybe getting another scalable display. Then, I'm thinking of mounting the E0-1 (or whatever I end up using) in or behind the Nav compartment door.
Does anyone know where I can get a harness for the Turboxs output?
Anyway, post up pictures of your solutions. I'm curious to see what everyone is doing.

I've been wondering the same thing, I've still got mine on floor thinking of where to put it permantly. simplest thing to do would be to stuff it in the cubby, the coolest thing would be to get some kind of carPC with a video screen in the nav cubby and monitor via the UTEC dashboard and keep the tuner out of sight for good.

i have a really cool idea that would be great if it worked. i am going to get and oil pressure gauge for my pillar gauge pod and then remove the center gauge outta the three gauges we have on top of the dash. then mount the tuner back behind it so it will shine through the center gauge and look factory.
i also need to finish painting the inside of my house. ill add that on the list of a million things i dont have time for..

I was just looking at the Tuner manual on Turboxs' site and it says that the only output is a 0-5V. I could have sworn that I read there were two outputs (0-1V and a 1-5V). I know there have been some changes to the Tuner WB since the manual on Turboxs' site was written. I think my Tuner came with a supplementary sheet that outlined those changes. Hopefully the outputs are on there. I'll have to check when I get home.
Anyway, my point is that if there is a 0-1V output, I'm pretty sure that's what many narrowband AF gauges use as an input. If you found a narrowband gauge scaled like the Tuner is (I think it's 9.00:1 to 24.99:1
not sure if it's linear but probably) you could enable that gauge to output what the Tuner WB is reading.
Either way, I'm pretty sure the Greddy E0-1 will display the Tuner output fine.

Any luck displaying the output or finalising the install?
We had the whole dash apart putting it in the centre nav area, but once we plugged the cable in the back it didnt fit. Even heat gunned the aircon vent in the back that was blocking the way, but that didnt clear enough room.
Is there a smaller cable connector that could be used as a alternate?
I might see if we can remove the metal casing of the connector and just shrink wrap the wires so it can be bent down...

I was just reading the Tuner manual and it shows you can use the tuner with a Palm Pilot, so you could mount a palm pilot in the nav area and connect it to the tuner, if you have a palm pilot. Wonder if the tuner works with other PDAs, should do if they have hyperterminal.

Ooh. Great Idea. I didn't even think of that!
It will definitely hook up to the E0-1. I didn't try it, though, because I pulled my E0-1 out when I installed my DVD/NAV unit since I decided not to boost my car.
(Profec E0-1 for sale w/ external signal harness if anyone is interested.)
I ended up getting some split loom and electrical tape and running the Tuner under my passenger seat. I like the idea about the velcro, too. I may try that.

Well, it would make the title of this thread more appropriate if you did.
