I have the choice between the V Pro and the EU. I'm lucky enough to have a pro dealer within 30 min drive.
I read the 26 page post on the EU on this forum but still need closure on one question.
Is the EU an interceptor or works like the F-Con ie: Standalone. I understand that both will be used with the stock ecu but does the EU just fool the signals like a unichip or does it work like the V Pro where it controls the full function.
From the info I have read it would appear to work like an interceptor but have been told otherwise verbally.
Cheers,
Michael

The EU is a piggy back and the FCON is a standalone. The only thing the ECU handles with the FCON is the drive by wire and electric stuff like OEM gauges, light, door locks, etc.
The FCON is 1000 times better than the EU and will allow your tuner to tune the car more precisely. If you have the choice between the EU or FCON, and could afford the price difference for the FCON it is the way to go.
BTW, what type of set up will you be tuning?

Agreed...if you have the funds, and an authorized tuner 30mins away...the FCON would be a no brainer. ![thumbup](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggthumpup.gif)
And yes, the EU is an interceptor type device, albeit a very powerful one..in terms of its fuel adjustment. It's the best of the interceptors, but I would still prefer the FCON.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'm sort of lucky as I have the HKS SC which already has the pressure sensor and ecu harness. I haved already installed the air temp sensor and my current f-con harness will suit the V Pro. the reason I asked the question is that I have only 1 HKS tuner close by which limits me to 1 shop.

Michael
