My utec install and tune...
So I had a local shop install my utec. I never dynoed the car without my mods so I don't know what it put out stock.
The car made just over 249-250hp with intake, borla exhaust w xerd headers, and underdrive pulley.
I only saw 2-5 hp increase on the chart from the utec but the tourqe went up 10-15 pounds in some places.
I'm not overly impressed but the car does feel faster. It hesitates a bit from time to time and the tuner says we need to road test the car and smooth out the power/revs.
The main reason for getting the unit was for the zex wet 75hp kit I plan to install this week. For safety reasons I hear they are good to have, they can retard timing if things go wrong. Since some of you guys have experince with nos and utec can you give me some advice as far as pro/cons.... and what kind of maps to use... they're telling me to have a n/a map and a seperate nos map???
Your thoughts....???

I would definitely set up two different maps. This will allow you to run the Z at it's strongest NA on one map, and safest on the nitrous map.
I think Zex rates their shot at the flywheel and not the wheels, so your 75 shot wont be quite as strong as a NX 75 shot. You are definitely doing things the right way though! Good luck.
