Interesting, I have never heard of this. Have you tried uninstalling the UTEC and just running the factory ecu to see if you get the code?
thanks,

I can't do that, due to the JWT kit installed on my G. Some of the others with N/A probably could, however. I wil;l suggest it to them.
Also, I sent a feedback on your website yesterday (www.turboxs.com) asking for some help with this.

When I got the code read from autozone it says "P1444 - Purge flow sensor circuit low input"
I am thinking that the Utec is changing a voltage value for the purge valve and is not letting it operate under stock conditions. I have also checked all my lines and have visually inspected the purge valve and everything seems to look just fine. There are no vacuum noises coming from this area when the car is idleing or running. I believe it has to do with the Utec affecting the voltage for this solenoid.

Jermaine, does this make sense, and if so, how can we solve this?

I have the same problem in Utah ~4500ft elevation. I am NA so I can take the Utec out and see if the code goes away. I will email Jermaine and see if there is anything else I can do to help solve the problem. Unless someone else has already figured out a fix.

Hey Dave, Robert and i still have the same code N/A. I know for 100% certinty its UTEC as this only happened when i had it installed at MAC. It came on that same day after install and has been there since. Mac thought it was due to the recall on 03's, i had that done, nothing. Keep us informed! Im still searching for solutions as well.

Yea, I was at MAC yesterday, talked to Bill about it. Still no luck. I clear it every time it comes up. Sometimes it will be 15 starts before it comes back, but it is usually back after 2-3 starts.
It's just really annoying, having that light on the dash. Wish I could come up with a way to fix it!

So is there anyway to know for sure if the purge valve system is acutally working when the light is on?
I have emailed back and forth a few times with Jermaine this is what I have found so far.
P1444 code present with Utec installed I would test the voltage of the purge valve solenoid harness by the plenum. It would read 11.45 volts when I would test the positive and ground on the harness. I would then test the positive and another ground source(plenum or solenoid bracket) and would get 11.55 volts. Battery voltage at this time was ~12.3V
OEM computer mintues later the voltage would read 11.55 when I would test the positive and ground on the harness. 11.65 when I would read the positive on the harness and the other ground source.
Then I was convinced that the Utec was not giving the correct voltage to the solenoid. I emailed Jermaine and he asked me to test the resistance in OHM's of the solenoid alone, with the Utec and with the OEM computer. I tested the resistance with just the solenoid out of the car and it was at .022 OHM's. I am not sure how to test the resistance with the harness hooked to the solenoid to verify the OHM's with the OEM and Utech hooked up. If you know how please let me know.
Then I put the Utec back in and the code came back after 3 starts or so. I tested the voltage again this time it was at 12.35V and 12.45V(other ground). I check battery voltage and it was at the 12.35V.
The manual I have says the solenoid should be receiving battery voltage.
I have the OEM computer back in now and will go for a week and see if the code comes back. I am not sure what else to try since the Utec was giving the solenoid battery voltage this time even after the code was thrown.

Hmm, let us all know if it works out. I even upgraded my UTEC software to 2.8d to see if it would change things. No luck.
Also, I use an OBDII scanner to clear all my codes every time this comes up, so no stored codes for me.

Andrew, I bought one this weekend. If you need to use it let me know and you can drop by since you are so close.
This thread seems to have turned in to a strictly Colo. based thread. Interesting?

Nope. I emailed Turbo XS when he said he would work with to come up with a solution, and he said he got the email. Never heard back after that, though. That was about 2 weeks ago.
Pretty frustrating
