Not to be a ***** or call a specific company out, but what the hell is putting it back to map 0 on the utec gonna prove at a dynojet. Like I told everyone I did a baseline and got 270 at best at MRC with the reflash. Then Julian installed the UTEC and tuned my z for 5 hours and I got 283. Im not going to lose 13 hp your company is claiming and be back to 270 for the reflash number I had by using a dynojet. What would be the point of me going to any kind of dam dyno, because what is fact here is I gained from the baseline pull on MRCS dyno. I could of used a mustang dyno, dynojet, dynapack, or a dynorometer and whatever dyno I use I gained the 13 hp power. So stop claiming the iridium spark plugs, hks Ignition, and Injen ti over the older angled tip is what gained the power. When in fact I use to call and get claims that those mods wont alter a reflash any what. Because if that was the case I would of had 283 to start with, and not gained 13 hp from the different pulls. Julain please post my dyno charts before and after corrected and uncorrected. So I dont have to try to prove myself to some people. If some people still dont believe it please dont pm me about how it cant be or its this or that. How about you pay the $125 dollars for me to dyno at the dynojet down the road from me, and I will put the map to 0 and then use my utec tuned map to satisfy your mind.

Sincerely Glen

It's amazing nobody ever believes a dyno. Granted some claims are way off. Those are great numbers enjoy the car and the hell with anyone else. Maybe post those sour grapes name?

I knew after I posted the utec dyno over the reflash the specific reflash company would be all sour, but if I gained that power in their shop the reply would of changed. The bottom line is when Julian posts my dyno results they can see for themselves how I gained big power. Let me just say I gained 13 hp at peak and from midrange I gained a whole bunch also. My torque went up as well I cant wait till the dyno is posted.

Sincerely Glen

again, you cant compare dyno numbers with other peoples dyno numbers, tooo many variables and too many different kinds of dynos

the good thing is that you came with 270 on julians dyno and left with 283...

that is 13 hp +- .5hp any dyno you are on.... dont worry about what people say!!

just keep feeding julian cookies!!

exactly...you had 13 more hp that when you started. The final number is of little consequence, as there are so many variables involved. What matters is that you left making more hp than you started with, on the same dyno, on the same day. That right there tells you that you got a gain, and a good one at that. That's right around the same # I saw over the flash back when we first did my UTEC in January, so you're right where you should be. When my car first got flashed back in 03, I netted around a 10-12 whp gain as well. Ran like that for a long time, and then did the UTEC and a retune (no other mods that could have affected power except for the carbon intake tube...which we all know is dress up only), and I netted an additional 10-12 whp (search for my thread) again.

Exactly thats why I was heated getting hounded from Mike at AAM. Dont get me wrong they do great work, but to talk to me as if I didnt make power thats just not cool.

So this is just proves that a UTEC tune is much better than a flash. I've always felt this way and yet people still don't believe that a flash is almost a guess.

I believe someone from AAM flamed him for posting he got gains over their flash :-D
(Adds fuel to the fire)

And...can i see the dynos? I'd love to see what doughnuts do to julian. When i took my car there, utec was JUST released and julian was still learning how to use it from Jermaine. I gained 14rwhp i think but i was still running rich (like 10.5 at WOT). No doubt if i went back, 20-30rwhp will be attainable. The best was the gains throughout the RPMs.
I believe my car was the 1st that julian did for a NA tune- for practice and maps. It only took 1 hour.
I had 260rwhp w/o tune i think. When I go back for UTEC, which i plan on..i'll have headers, ported and polished lower plenum and a crawford V5 as well as an X pipe exhaust on top of what i had before.

Do your numbers on MRC's dyno have a 13% correction? I am just wondering, because if it did that pretty much puts the rest the correction debate considering that the numbers before MRC's tune was right on with AAM dyno jet number.

I dont want to get involved in another MY350Z drama fest...A customer came to me with a car, he wanted it tuned, thats what I did, to the best of my abilities.Enough about this darn correction factor already..the 1.13 dyno jet correction is almost dead on, trust me...And FWIW, he came in at one number and left with 13 hp more, regardless of correction factors or not. Were not comparing dyno to dynos, or tunes to tunes..Were simply showind a 13 whp increase over whatever he previously had..Period.
For all you correction police, here are both NON corrected Dyno Dynamics numbers and corrected Dyno jet simulation numbers....
I dont want to get involved in anyones debate with anyone or any other vendor, and I did not title or start this thread..period..Here is the information requested.

I wasn't debating the correction factor. I was pointing out that it was right on with dyno jet numbers.
