I'm assuming you can get one for Z also. Only drawback is that it's expensive...

Its not the only drawback... It also needs an HKS dealer to program it. the closest one is 350miles away....

The only 2 I found are the HKS F-CON vPRO and the Motec M600. Both need to replace the engine wiring which is a pain in the a$$!!!

Anyone with expirience on HKS or Motec???

there is also a Magnetti Marelli setup via Injected Performance (good guys). It goes for around $5k - which I am sure is a ton more than a stock ecu costs.

Thanks.
I just send them an e-mail and waiting for their answer. Didn't find anything on their site though.

I am using motec M600 from Nizpro...

You can have it works as standalone or works with the stock ecu...

Motec basically takes over the entire engine management side... the way mine got wired is to have the stock DBW still working with the motec because it is very tricky to tune the motec dbw pefectly without jerking..

cheers,

richie

The thing is that my ecu works fine exept from the 4th cylinder's coil command. If the motec goes parallel will it work? Does this configuration cuts of any communication of the stock ecu with the engine?

Can't you still use the broken stock ECU with UTEC or any other paralelle engine controller tho? Cuz UTEC has it's own injector and ignition driver, so it should be fine even if your ECU's ignition is broken. The stock ECU is just there to take care of the A/C and lights and satnav.

Correct me if I am wrong, but at idle doesn't the stock ECU control injection - ignition when using the UTEC? Perhaps one of the UTEC experts can help this man with his problem.

You mustn't use neither UTEC nor MOTEC with your current ECU if it isn't controlling Cyl 4. Both systems leave the idle to stock ECU. UTEC takes control of the Fueling and Ignition after some variables are in line (like boost level, rpm, TPS) and MOTEC takes control when the car isn't @ idle anymore. So your car won't be fueling Cyl 4 @ idle. You need a complete standalone for your car.

Technosquare can do ECU duplications. I don't know if this will help or not:

I know you are out of the USA so see this link as well:
