Exclamation H E L P ! My ECU is fried!!!

Any ideas what to do? A new one is about 1400euro and 1-2 months waiting.
Plz give me some info on standalone aftermarket ones. I will definetly go F/I so I will need a piggyback or a standalone anyway.
Any standalone that can use the engine stock wiring?

there are no full standalones - all will require a proper working and functioning stock ecu to operate

I've seen HKS F-Con, which is full standalone, on a G35 today.
I'm assuming you can get one for Z also. Only drawback is that it's expensive...

F Con needs a stock ecu to work, as does AEM.

How do you know your ecu is fried?

How did it happen? Last Thursday I took my car for a ride. When I turned the ign. on the engine started making a silly sound. That was it! I realized the engine was not fully functional. I took my car to my mechanic and after many tests he told that cyl4 is not working because the spark plug doesn't get the command from the ECU to fire the piston. it's not an engine problem. May be wiring or ECU. We took the ecu out of the car an send it to a electonic engineer. The stock ecu has 6 transistors, 1 for each cyl. No.4 is fried and there is no way to find the same transistor to repair the stock ECU. I need at least a couple of months for a new one.
The main nissan dealer is closing for !!!vacation!!! from next Monday until the 16th of August.

I know that Motec M600 is standalone. Is there anyone here with a motec???

BTW sorry for my grammatical and spelling errors. I am Greek.

the ecu should be replaced under warranty from Nissan - it should not come out of your pocket

I know it's a pain in the a$$, but you should really just wait for the Nissan dealer to fix it for free, and get a cheap loaner or rental car in the mean time.

That is, if the Z is your only car...

Thats no problem for me. I have an MCC smart. I does the job. the problem is that the main dealer is not recognizing the warranty because i have a new catback exhaust with racing cats and a grounding kit. They say that the car has mods and thw warranty is void!!!
