Yes ...you can tune fuel and retard timing with the SS box

 

Well, it turns out it was the serial cable. I've connected and logged some runs. Boost is working fine. It was surprising about where the Vortech is making boost. It doesn't hit full boost until well into 6000's. I've purchased the Innovate products to log AFR and other info, hoping to install soon. Then going to tune the SS box as need.

 

As far as the AFR goes, should I be tuning for that 11-12 AFR through out the entire rpm band at WOT? Or should I be tuning for 11-12 at any point during open loop mode? Any tuners out there that can advise?

 

Mine runs 9.5 A/F all the way up.

 

Is this common with the Vortech kits that they only reach full boost at or around 6000rpms?

 

With the Vortech SC you will not see full boost till redline . The more rpms , the faster the blower spins
