If I have done my homework correctly, I understand that the following are the only units that can be tuned by the end user and do not require an authorized dealer for tuning:

Turbo XS UTEC
Greddy E-Manage/Ultimate
HKS F-Con SZ
Split Second


The Following Requires an authorized dealer for tuning:

HKS F-Con V Pro


Is the information above correct? I am wanting a unit that I can tune myself with a laptop. I have no one in Austin (or nearby that I know of) that can tune these cars. So once I go FI, I want to go rent the dyno at our local dyno shop for a couple of hours and tune my baby myself.

Both the F-Con V Pro and F-Con SZ require an authorized dealer for tuning. The other controllers you have listed do not.

Do you have FI plans for next year? On the user tunable controllers, the UTEC is a great unit.
