Default Wideband on dyno?

Ok i love the utec . I got a basic tune with mine and now want to take it to a dyno and start to tune it myself.

if I am getting my A/F reading from the tail pipe sniffer on the dyno. Does the dyno wideband connect to the utec? How does it give me an A/F ratio on my laptop?

The wideband dyno will not connect to the UTEC. If you want to display AF ratios inside your UTEC datalogger, you will need the TurboXS Tuner or Tuner Pro (knock listening capability). We have them in stock if you need them.

You dont "have" to have the tuner...it just makes it a little easier to tune...especially on the road.

I bought the Tuner w/ Bosch sensor and have it sitting under the passenger seat. When I need/want to read it I just pull it out! Plus a wideband is great to have if you ever go F/I.

I'm still trying to decide where to mount my Tuner? I'd like to have it hard mounted, but it's kinda limited on places that will work well with how big it is.

Most people mount it on the center consol, passenger side. Where the passenger's left knee would be.

To answer your question, after each run on the dyno, you should get a printout of the powercurve and A/F ratios. Essentially it will show you where your at @ each rpm range. Its pretty much the same as logging with the wideband and utec.. Therefore, after each run you can tune.. Hope this helps..

the difference in a/f from the dyno and the utec tuner was about 1.0 when we tested the output from the tailpipe sniffer and compared that to the a/f reading on the tuna
