Default UTEC logging question

Is it possible to install the UTEC with the MAP sensor initially to just scale your injectors?

Here is my scenario, I have a TN kit (installed) and have the AAM return fuel kit with some 650's(not yet installed). I would like to install the fuel components and then set the UTEC to scale the injectors. However, I cannot have it tuned immediately after as the closet shop w/ dyno is almost 2hrs away. If this would work and allow the TN reflash to continue to do its job, then I can take several logs of my runs strictly on the reflash and then i could moderately tune my A/F accordingly, while timing would be left alone and managed by the reflash until i'm through with the a/f.

I guess what I'm getting at is I want to do the UTEC/AAM install but dont know how long after the install it will be before I can get to the shop. I know the book says that you cant set it on 'stock' mode with a MAP sensor installed, but its unclear if you can still set all the load columns to stock anyway.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Just to make sure...once its switched to use the map sensor (speed density mode) I can't change the load columns to an "e"(aka ecu) for timing while i work on tuning fuel?

YThe whole thing is, if your putting 650cc injectors the whole map needs to be tuned for them..
Its more to it than just scaling them..

julian is right.

if you are in MAP mode, you need to enter PW values for the injectors in the load colums; you can't scale those back.

your 0% column will scale the injectors back when not in boost and you can drive around......but I don't know how the UTEC will act if you don't fill out the rest of the load sites.

On the timing side, I suppose you could set everything to "ecu" and it'll run off the reflash.

overall, it's not a good plan. Why don't you put the TN injectors back in, set the utec to the "0" map and do a bunch of datalogging. that'll teach ou alot about how the reflash is setup for fuelling your ride.

then you can get to your tuner/dyno at your leisure.

Thats kinda what I was looking for. I saw that TurboXS recently put up a TN base map running 550's. So if I go from that map, I should be able to put the AAM kit in with the 650's, and then lean it out so that I wont be soooo rich. I was really just worried about the timing...but if they've already given me something to work with, I should be ok.

Thanks for the reply's
