I'm not saying which unit they are going with you.... When I get the final dyno numbers I'll find out which one they chose.

I checked out the Interceptor a while back, and unless something has changed, it does offsets to fuel and timing, and does not offer 100% control.

Did something change recently? Otherwise, is basically another eManage Ultimate, with a more robust feature and option set.

BTW, this is Sharif posting under Sandy's name...LOL.

The offset thing has been done....and I think we all know the problems inherent in that.

I have this theory... You buy the car and then you give your money to the tuner and let them buy the ECU "They" want since it will be them tuning it.

This works if you keep it within reason.

I suppose it does do offsets but they state +/- 100% fuel adjustment... I know some of the piggybacks can't do that and have to be replaced as they can't scale enough for the larger injectors out there... At least according to their data sheet thats not the case with the Haltech... I would obviously take the e11v2 over the Interceptor for a built motor car but for those on the stock motor and boosted this seems much nicer then the Split Second, EU, or otherwise...

I agree with you a 100%, go with the system that your local tuner is familiar with, bc at the end when something goes wrong, you will have to either travel with the car in limp mode or fly this tuner over to where one is at.

Yeah my first venture into the SS, I did not find too many extra features or even a full control to be able to garner the full potential of the engine.
EU, had not had the pleasure to engage in it, but I have heard some problems from ppl that have.

I want to personally know more about this HKS FCON iS.

With the new AV input to display guages and such it would be a badass solution!

The Newr Unichip Q has similar features if I do recall, however we have been successful in triming enough fuel with the old Unichip. Im not sure what the limits are to it.Most likely a 50% +/- fuel trim. We were looking at the Haltech Standalone for our race car..Toos up between theirs, and the AEM universal since we will be eliminating the DBW system completely.

What I meant was not the trim available via PC interface. Rather the actual trim module that allows you to adjust fuel, timing, boost pressure, and AFR on the dyno with no laptop connected...

This thing:

+/- 12.5% fuel mixture
+/- 50% fuel mixture
+/- 10 degrees ignition timing
+/- 10 degrees trailing split (Rotary engines only)
0 – 100% turbo boost control

Well perhaps it is a tuner item only.We are unichip tuners and purchased the box with the software.so perhaps it is not available to the public. Is the Haltech one available to the end user? And cost? if it is then it is kick as s to tune with.
