Damn, thanks for bringing this to light, going to have to call Haltech tomorrow to get a clarification on this.

At the moment my friend and I are installing a E6X on a Alfa Romeo Milano with a SC. So as soon as we finish with that, will be doing some research on the Haltech Interceptor now that you mentioned it.

Thanks!

at 1st glance, the Haltech doesn't seem as thorough as the UTEC. It appears that the haltech Interceptor uses offsets of whatever the stock ECU is doing. While that be easy, the stock ECU varies drastically in its processes.

PErsonally, I like using the absolute injector pulsewidth and timing functions of the UTEC.

addtionally, the UTEC is P-n-P, no splicing!!! and the UTEC is cheaper!

Although the timing capabilities are not quite the same as the UTEC the configurable outputs appear to be better and there is 100% control of fuel. Oh yeah closed loop boost control is ALREADY working and its cheaper

Heres a webshot of the PDF:

I like it. Haltech has been around for a very very long time so they do make quality products. I would like to see the installation manual though and the software. I would rather use windows based software than the craptastic interface of the utec.

This is a nice looking setup. The UTEC will be windows based very soon.

Just wait for Q1 07 for the new GUI.

My partner if considering picking one of these units up and installing it into his GF's G35.

He is a big Haltech supporter since he has ran/installed many of these E6K in a bunch of vehicles in tha past. As soon as I found out what is my cost on the system we will probably be testing it out.

I like the E6X, we installed it onto my buddies Corolla with great success.

Its pretty straight forward as a full standalone goes, and I am sure their piggy back is the same great quality.

Base Maps are provided with the system, so it is a simple job to fire up the car once installation is completed. Easy to read wiring diagrams are provided, even a complete novice can install the system is a short period of time.
* 3D mapping for Fuel and Ignition
* 2D mapping for Boost

looks like it wont be to hard to install ill be getting one when i get some extra cash.
