your intake air temps are probably very good with the vortech and an intercooler. you could run a 7 psi setup non-intercooled most likely on these motors.

what I am getting at is you don't need to drown your mixture with fuel. on a vortech, you probably are making more than 5 psi below 5500 rpms, right? You can easily have you air:fuel in the 12s (and making nice power!) in the lower rpms (less boost). Scale your A:F so that it gets fatter as boost increases.

Start at about 12.8:1 for 1psi and fatten it up as you go in psi. in your case, psi and rpm run together. by the time you reach full boost (around 6000 rpm), you will probably want your ratio to be 12:0 - 11.5:1.....that you will need to experiment with.

When you get it al down, you will have really nice throttle repsonse......much better than just setting it to hold a solid 11.5:1 all the way. on a centrifugal blower, your boost response is linear......so should your A;F ratio be.

I would keep her very low 11's. 11.3 tops..you can run a bit leaner on the SC's going in to boost up to about 4500rpms.
