I tried to search for the orginal thread about these two together but was not able to locate it.

If I remember correctly there was a problem using the two together. I don't remember what it was though.

Has anyone found a way around this? Or is this even a problem?

I don't know if you ever got answers to this...let me know. I use the Ultimate with the HKS DLI -II - it's flawless, as long as you have the right settings/jumpers and wiring.
