Well I think the revup can handle 7500 rpm, but the idea is to not hit the rev limiter so often, I think the revup has a low revlimiter, don't you think?

Another question that I have to BlackTuner is... if the UTEC in openloop mode takes full control over the injection and the ignition as a standalone ECU, why is not possible to change the rev limiter on the revups? thats because the UTEC doesn't have full control even in open loop mode? whats the difference in the limiter between the 300cv and the 280cv models?

If the stock ECU is overrided in Open Loop, why you can change the rev limiter on the revups?

This is something that I know the answer to now, that I didn't when I first read this question almost a year ago. Hal actually explained it and deserves the credit for the answer.

Nissan implemented a drive by wire soft-cut limiter for the revup engines. DBW closes the throttle body when the rev limit is reached. Since the UTEC does not control DBW, it can not alter the rev limit in revups. An ECU flash is required.
