Does anyone know of a good laptop tuning program that will work on a mac

to tune what? you can tune a utec on a mac using a vt100 terminal emulator.

i dont know a whole lot about ecu's... can you explain that(anyone)

search this forum for the following and read the threads: utec, osiris, unichip, fcon, emanage, reflash.

You'll get an idea for the options available to you and how the stock ECU, piggyback, and standalone solutions work...

Generally speaking, the only aftermarket ECU that can be programmed outside of "ms windows" is the UTEC, which has a dumb terminal interface (as mentioned above).
