Default Installing UTEC and MAP sensor tonight

I have a base map for a similary setup I obtained from another forum member. Should I have this loaded up first before starting the car? Or should I just start from scratch?

mods:

Vortech 3.12 pulley
440cc injectors
Skunk2 spacer
Fuji exhaust

(removed my test pipes last night which had cracked...sounded like shiatsu)

Yeah, it makes sense to upload your map first to the UTEC. In fact, copy it to all of the map locations as a precaution against the map switch getting knocked into a different map selection. (Not very likely). Anyway, then you install the UTEC, set to the appropriate map number (#1 probably) and install the map sensor. Make sure to use a good source of boost/vacuum, like directly from the plenum port on the passenger side. Once thats done...Start her up. Good Luck.

make sure you plug the main harness in well to the UTEC. mine was slightly scewed, and the car acted all wierd. the fans would run full blast all the time, and it wouldn't start. I thought I had killed my ECU...

you should not start the car with the stock map if you have upgraded injectors.
