Default apexi neo for 07 Z

thinking about getting a piggy back for fuel tuning on my 07 Z. i've always had good luck with apexi and wasn't too sure what you guys are doing. i'm trying to fix the lean from idle to about 5K rpms. from there up it's fine. not going to crazy with mods yet. one other question...straight plug and play??? i wanna say i read somewhere that you need a tach signal adapter or something of the sorts. helps me out peeps...

Don't know too much about the apexi but from what other guys and my tuner included are saying on this forum is that the stock ecu with eventually go around the piggy back system and bypass it having you to get it re-tuned all the time. Keep me posted as I'm looking to get my car tuned very soon and have been looking every where on what I need for the '07. Thanks.

Very very few 07 owners have even messed with tuning simply because there arent very many option for the current VQ and the 07 is bascially all new with a new ECU to crack

Buy one, see what happens, report your results

From what we know of the 06's that learn around the UTECs sometimes the piggbacks will have many of the same issues on the 07's with these piggbacks....the good news is these cars run pretty damn rich from the factory so bolt-ons will probably produce power, especially up top....I am sure youve seen the great X02 exhaust gains as well as the TurboXS numbers...if not check them out

Hopefully UpREV will have a soloution for 07 owners but I wouldnt hold my breath....its gonna be a slow process and there are so few 07 owners as compared to the droves of 03-06 owners begging for tunes....

Guess theres always a full standalone plus tune option

I dont mean to butt in on your post but I am running a Neo on my 03 and trying to wire in a HKS tach signal adapter and was wondering if anyone has installed it and if there was a diagram i could use. Thanks

Don't mean to impose, but if the 07' ECU port is the same as previous years, then maybe try this out?

because no piggyback is going to amount to a thing on these cars - you'll have to just be patient and wait for a proper ecu flash or for other engine management options to come out in the future
