Default dyno numbers(does this sound right?)

tossed my Z on a friends dyno this evening to just see what it made...i just got the car and the only thing i have done is put a pop charger on it. the car put down 228whp in 3rd gear and 232whp in 5th gear with the wtq being about the same. is this good, bad or normal? yes i did search and didnt find anything for non rev it up motors that were stock or just having a pop charger.

Could be more, could be less, obviously it is what it is, good, bad, or indifferent. Too many variables to ask if it's right. YOU were there.

of course...but im not sure what the average is on stock cars as far as whp wise and im aware all cars are different. some cars come from the factory weak, some normal and u get thoose factory freaks.im just wondering on average what kind of power people make with stock cars.....

the pulls were done on a dynojet.

somewhere round 230 or 235, give or take quite a bit dependant on other conditions and types of dynos... atleast from what i've read in another thread.

Ouch, dynojets usually give higher numbers, but those seem a little low. Not like it matters on it's own.

Try to stick to the same dyno after you mod it so you'll hopefully get more accurate info from your mods.

Its when you skip around to different dynos that you will get fluctuation in your numbers.

dyno jets are the gold standard for hp ratings, so their numbers are on par...i know alota ppl use pack dynos and that is a different ball game, but for the most part a stock o4 puts down 220 to 235 depending on the tranny....the dyno chad was on doesnt run high...the cars that come off it beat cars that claim higher are the same numbers....case in pt, richard, collins, the tahoe, etc
