Default ECM Reflash Results by TechnoSquare

My dyno results!!!!

Date: 4/10/2008
Car Specs: 2007 Nismo 350z with the Nismo Dual CAI.
Dyno: SuperFlow WinDyn Dyno V2.7, calibrated on 4/2/2008

*NOTE the numbers below are wheel numbers, not top-side numbers
Governor settings=185 (changed from 155)
Tach settings=7500 (was not changed)

Before HP=280 RPM=6900 TORQUE=242 RPM=2700
After HP=292 (+12) RPM=6900 TORQUE=256 (+14) RPM=2500

The Throttle changes was the change I noticed most on my drive home last night. I feel like it really makes a difference when it is punched esp. at higher speeds.

Also, for some reason that I cannot explain... it is easier to shift smoothly...

Yes, but the stock CAI should NOT, I repeat, should NOT be replaced as the current aftermarket CAIs are reducing HP and Torque... I have the test results to proove it.

I filed a formal complaint with Nissan about the alleged gains and ... we will see where this goes. I am selling my Nismo air intakes!

The Nismo actually reduced my HP by 7-10 throughout the range!!!

I have dyno results from 3 '07 Z's on the same machine within a few weeks. 2 of the Z's came out about the same HP and Torque and were completely stock. Mine, with the Nismo Dual CAI came out lower as I said.

...and yes, this does suck!!!

I removed the stock air intake this past weekend and sold my Nismo to someone... I have noticed that the Nismo CAI helps rev a little, but one the car reaches a little speed the stock intake becomes a ram air... all that is needed are the K&N filters... so, for $60-80 you can help improve the performance of your '07+!!!

Please DO NOT waste your money, as I have, with current aftermarkets systems as they do NOTHING but give you a look and sound.

Maybe just some shots of your gauges while doing a few pulls. (0-100, 20-80, 60-120) I'm also considering getting the reflash so I just wanna see how hard it pulls w/ the reflash. Thanks in advance.

Damn man u dyno'd at 280 with the just the CAI?? Somehow i dyno'd in at 249.6whp with intakes and exhaust and 210.4Trq only.

After the reflash and dyno tune we got her up to 287.9whp @ 7000
and 243Trq @5200.

Im really dissapointed. How could the Z dyno in at 250whp?
I did notice a huge difference in power, push and throttle response its amazing and considering the reflash got me 39whp and 32.6Trq increase!!

My buddy is hooking me up and we are going to test the Z out on his DynoPak starting with the Nismo CAI on and then swap to the stock intakes and see what kind of numbers we get. He really finds it hard to believe and almost disagrees that im only getting those numbers he thinks it should be a little better.
Do have to keep in mind that it was hot yesterday!! But lets see how it goes..

Keep us updated, would really like to know if the stock pulls more power. If so, im leaving in the stock intake and putting k&n filter or something.

What kind of reflash did you get? Turnaround time? Cost?
Thanks,

Thanks,
I got my ECU Reflash at Technosquare, CA. My work is only like 6 miles from there.

They Dyno'd it. Did the air/fuel corrections. Dyno'd it. Reflashed and tuned for optimum results. Dyno'd.

It took 1.5 hours only. $700. Very worth it. Even if my Z dyno'd low before the reflash, after the reflash and tune +39whp and +32 trq.
It may not be that much for everyone considering my car dyno'd quite low but shows u how affective it is. Just on throttle response its more sensative.
I gained a 15% in power to the wheels.

Did they do a dynojet simulated numbers on yours? Because the people getting 300+ whp or near 300whp are all dynojet simulated. Yours might just be the superflow dyno numbers.
