Default Tuning with Osiris in real time

With Osiris, can you change parameters on the fly without downloading/uploading maps?. Can you for example try on the dyno, at a given rpms, change on the fly the timing to see if you increase or decrease the power?

Yes! It is suggested that you tune on the fly until you have a steady tune and then flash the ECU ROM.

It's pretty cool. You can save your tune to your hard drive and continue to tune at a later part.

They recommend doing it this way for two reasons:
1 - If you screw anything up, just change it on the fly without having to flash your ECU
2 - The long term effects of flashing your ECU 100's of times aren't known yet

Awesome! I currently have Orisis. Do I need to download anything? Can I tune it on the fly now? If so, I'll be selling my UTEC! WooWhooo! :-)

Not yet, shortly young grass hopper, trust me we work on that every day. It is the number one subject in internal e-mails and lunch discussions.

To clarify, we do suggest tuning on the fly, that way you can check what you are doing live. To do that currently you would have to be a Pro Tuner. End user is not released yet, that will allow you to tune yourself on the fly. You can switch maps on the fly, though we recommend you do it at a stand still as it may not be safe to change the way your car is driving while it is in motion.

We'll have an e-mail going for all current Osiris owners for the End User tuning when it is released. New users will have a cost difference between current Osiris and the End User Tuning version of Osiris.

1) No
2) Yes

Their top priority is finishing the end user program. After that they will be looking into the HR's. Absolutely no ETA so don't expect something soon.

Cam timing is mappable. Conversion to speed density is not going to happen any time soon. We're working to get a modified MAF for Nissan, right now we're using a modified Mustang MAF and external AIT sensor to support up to 600HP stable, according to sources like Granatelli it can handle 650 and be stable. Unfortunately beyond that sort of power currently you're better off going stand alone.

It's that true that with osiris you can deactivate sensors? or let them don't throw CEL codes? (test-pipes for example)

Yes you can clear codes with Cipher. You can not block CEL's from happening.

The osiris version i have does many things. I can turn off things and turn things on. The real time tuning is very easy. I have the beta version. I think i have had it for a year now.

Beta program is available if you ask nicely (possibly).

Slated release originally for January but has been pushed back. We'll have to wait for Rich to chime in.
