Default MRC makes MORE POWER !! 284whp N/A

So last summer I got my car tuned by a REPUTABLE shop locally in Ct...well not only do I not go there anymore...but I believed that my Z had more in her. Ive been in contact with Julian from MRC since last November talking about having him work his magic on my car...I finally 2 weeks ago got the chance to head down there...As you will see it was soooo worth it.

As you can see he was able to make more power up top where it was lacking as well as make more overall power with a better curve to redline. It used to fall off flat, now it just screams to redline.

My mods are:
Mrev2 and 5/16 iso copper spacer
APS test pipes
Utec
JWT pop charger
4.08 Gear set

The car pulls very strong. Smooth in all gears and quickly through the gears thanks to the gear set...

Thanks to Julian at MRC...great customer service and you delivered on what you promised. I am very picky on who I allow to touch the car and they were great !!! I highly recommend MRC !!!!

BTW: I believe she is maxed on power....lol minus f.i or nx.

how do you rescale a dyno to cross over at 5250?

and what were your previous numbers?

MRC needs to adjust the left and right axes to the same values. that is why the crossover point looks odd.

they are dyno jet numbers...dyno dynamics came in at 254whp.

the lower graph was the power I came in at and then you see what he made with the tuning.

I know that, but is there a way to rescale it yourself with like excel?

looks to be about a 25-35 whpr bump over stock... not too shabby!!!

The gears don't give you power but you will notice the acceleration difference...I bet you could still hit close to 155-160 mph with the gears anyways

Might as well give the shop name so us other Z owners on the forum dont waste our time and money there.

Cams, dump the mrev manifold, and pick up a powerlab spacer. You'd be making awesome power until redline.

Not sure I wanna do cams ....they are expensive and I will probably lose some tq if I get rid of my mrev2....

It wasnt the shop so much as the tuner...he bounces around from shop to shop...so it was really him, not so much the shop...

Talk to Julian...he will give you a good price..under $500 for sure..

Maybe, but the trade off would be worth it (for me at least). It just depends on what you are looking for, if you like high rpm power, extend the redline, get the Revup manifold back on, and add cams. If you like mid range torque, keep the Mrev.

Im not sure it would make me faster overall..i put down about 30 more lbs of tq then most z's with bolt ons that are rev up or hr....Now the higher redline pwer would help..but not sure it would make me faster down the quarter....
