The S-AFC II is universal and AFAIK there has only been one unit produced. I am still going to get the TS ECU, but the S-AFC II is a good piece of work and should still be compatible with an aftermarket ECU. I had the V-AFC with a JUN ECU and fun was to be had with all.
Also, this one looks to be the best that Apex'i has to offer
Full facts at www.apexi.com.

Also for those of you looking for the S-AFC II the cheapest I've found it is at, of all places, the www.suprastore.com for $324 and www.sportcarmotion.com for $320.
Just one question. Does this allow you to bypass the governor and increase RPM range? I know that the V-AFC didn't allow that to happen.

As for the unit touching limiters, it does not. It simply sends "signals" through the existing wiring, which in turn make the ECU THINK it needs to compensate. Thus the resulting changes... Included the new unit is great for having an alarm for knock, throttle position, vaccum pressure, etc...

Ok here are some of the settings from the AFC 2.
I don't have any of the throttle setting and air settings. Like I said before unless you have the same things that I do it will not perform on the same settings.
Anyways...
first under ect.
sensor type is 1.Hot wire
sensor number 26 for in and out
Next car select is 1 with throttle up
that's about it.
The tuning I have no idea about. Good luck.

That is just to fill up some space for now. I have other plans for that cubby. There is room in front of the shifter only if you cut into the consel. Otherwise it may be in the way when you shift. And you really don't want to accidently hit the toggle button.

The one you got is not a limited edition one... the silver one is a limited run, I believe 1500 or so units? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading this a fair way back.

Check out this website. The one I have looks like the limited one. I paid $325.00 for it at Island Motorsports. They had another one labeled the same with a silver/blue housing that looks like your picture. That one was $299.99. But now that you brought up the limited idea lol I wanna know for sure which one I got. You can check out the pic of mine at http://www.rankmyride.com/?page=cars...CID=345&pnum=7
The picture of the 2 AFC's together are at http://www.edoperformance.com/list_products.php?cid=2
Gimmie feedback - let me know if I paid too much.
Addendum - I just found this site - my display is purple. Check it out - http://www.intakeone.com/APEXi/ApexiSAFC2blue.html

the black AFC-2 is the limited one. It says it on the box. The silver is a regular piece. i got the black one. I want to mount it in the top section of the cup holder in the arm rest. i want to cut out a section and sink it in and maybe make some kind of plexiglass covering for it.

OK I got it installed. Check out the mount tell me what you think. I asked the lead engineer from Apex'i Japan (he was at Motorex today, he actually helped install my AFCII)wether or not my AFCII is limited, and via translation it sounds like its not. I think its just the newer version that has just been released to the US market. He also said that he wouldnt reccommend the Limited version for US spec Z's because the wire map for that unit is designed to recognize Jspec Z's. But hell I dunno....im just glad I got it. Now if I can only figure out how to use it.....
