UTEC Doing something weird????
I recently installed and had my utec tuned. I also have the map selector installed. I cleared all the maps and ran the car on map 0 which of course worked fine. I then programmed the spare solenoid feature to trigger my nitrous solenoids which is a global parameter. I ran my car on map 1 which should be unchanged from stock minus the solenoid feature. The car "jerks" after most shifts and almost all situations where you use partial throttle and let off somewhat quickly without taking the car out of gear. This jerking feels somewhat similar to the studder the car does when switching maps while idling. I asked sharif when I went to have my car tuned and of course when he drove the car this didnt happen. He did a great tune and I thought the issue might disappear after the tune. It did not. I think this might be a global parameter issue but I'm not sure. I did go back to the 0 map and the problem went away totally. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
We'd need to see your global settings and a log or two with AFR to help you out... Otherwise any help you get will be pure guessing and speculation.
Although, if I had to "guess", I would say it is the tune. Switching to Map 0 doesn't turn the global settings on or off, it just allows the facory ECU to run timing and fuel.
So if it's running well on Map 0, but not Map 1, that probably means the tune on Map 1 needs some tweaking.
If it's jerking between shifts, that sounds like possible shift knock to me. UTEC is probably pulling timing when it detects knock, and that is the jerking you are feeling.

i spoke with both sharif and turboxs today and they both said try changing the open loop fueling delay to zero. You are correct in saying that the "0" map doesn't cause any of these problems. The moment I changed the map to "1" this problem began...and it occurred both before my tune and after. When I first got the UTEC I wiped all the maps clean and just ran the global parameter for the solenoid feature to make sure it worked without any tuning. Sharif suggested that I datalog and see if the utec is still reading ECU or 0 when these issues are occuring. Can't you tune the UTEC where the car is in open loop all the time for more complete control? Thanks for your help gothchick.

If you indeed have shift knock - Open to closed loop delay is one way to handle it. But it will also cause 'shift flare' which I'm pretty sure you won't like, and I found it's not as elegant of a solution as adjusting the tune itself.
Another trick some tuners will use (which I don't subscribe to) is making the knock parameters less sensitive so UTEC won't pull timing. All that does is mask a crappy tune. Kinda like Open to Closed loop delay.

Well, we need to see some logs. But if you're getting shift knock, the best way to correct it is to richen up the 0% and 10% columns where it's knocking. And it's typically going to be around 5000~7000rpm's. I personally wouldn't tune to run in open loop all the time. I tried that too, and never could get it dialed in right...
It's better to run closed loop in low rpm's/ low load -- and let UTEC take over (open loop) in the higher rpm's/ higher loads. My open/closed loop thresholds are set to 25%tps/ 2000rpm's. Anything below that and it's all ECU. Anything above, and UTEC transitions to open loop Baby!

I did some logging last night and was able to see that the fuel/ign were in the "tune" portion of the map when the problems were occurring. I also checked my open to closed loop delay which was set to "2" I adjusted that parameter to "0" and it almost made the problem go away. Now it just does it every now and then only in partial load situations when letting off the throttle while in gear. I must be a tard cause I couldn't figure out how to capture the information the datalogger was showing so that I could post it on here?
