If you have numerous mods, yeah it's worth it.

If you have intake/exhaust and other mods, it may be worth it. I know Technosquare reflashes Z ECU's, Cheston's (Chesbesto is his screenname I believe) Z was their test mule from what I've heard, he may be able to offer insight into their tunes.

Reflash with custom tune based on mods, map switching (if you have cruise control) is $400
Reflash with custom tune based on mods, map switching (if you have cruise control) with a Data Logging cable, and 3 free custom tuning adjustments is $700
Complete end user tuning system is $900

Fairly well documented why these cars benefit from tuning the ECU. Especially once you add hardware mods, but even on completely stock vehicles.

Are you talking Technosquare or Uprev? You guys haven't quite finished tunes for the 07+ HR model Zs, right?
