Default Utec Question

Does the Utec have live mapping abilities?

My tuner guy didn't seem to think so but I've heard otherwise, so just looking for confirmation!!

I'm waiting on a map sensor to get it all fitted...

Cheers
Dave

"Live mapping abilities"??? Not sure what you mean by this. UTEC does not adapt in real time if that's what you're asking. The maps are static...

Yeah that's what I meant... So it's a case of doing a map, dyno run, then off, readjust the map and dyno run again!

Yeah it's tedious, but thats the way to tune. It'll take more than just a few pulls on the dyno or street to get it fine tuned. But that's with any standalone, piggyback, or reflash.

UTEC does have room for 5 maps though, so you can have different maps for different climates, different grades of gas, different types of competition, etc...
