Custom Grounding Kit....installed
Today I went ahead and installed my custom grounding kit I recently picked up.
My kit's similar to this one here only my wires are blue vs the red ones in the link.
My results are exactly like the O.P's in that thread ^ ^
Anyone else here use a grounding kit with your car? If so which one are you running and why did you choose that brand type etc?
I'll post up pics of my engine bay sometime tomorrow for those who are interested. All in all, I believe this mod is worth it IMO
Any questions please ask or feel free to check out some more reviews

A grounding kit is just some wire and a few connectors. If you can't cut/crimp/solder yourself I guess it makes sense to use a pre-made kit.
Basic principles of electronics here. What a grounding kit does is help stabilize the ground plane. You really shouldn't require multiple wires going to the same bolt though, atleast with 8 gauge wires, you should be able to use a single loop. If all the sensors are reading a solid ground and there isn't an issue with the 12v+ being unstable, then everything works better overall. The point being to hit every individual chunk of metal that has anything electrical connected to it. On a V motor, you'd obviously want to ground each cylinder head, etc. However there are no sensors on the plenum so that seems like a rather odd choice for a ground point, if you're trying to ground the throttle body or MAF maybe, realize those have their own ground wire that heads to the ECU itself and are not grounded on the engine.
The kits I've seen that make the largest difference are the ones that add a few medium sized capacitors to the 12v+ to help stabilize the upside power at the same time.
Add a huge car stereo to the equation and you goof everything up substantially.
If you're doing it because it looks cool, then thats entirely different story.

1) why is this in the tuner section?
2) you post as if ground wires aren’t one of the most common, and minor mods ppl have been using for years. Have you read any of the threads... there must be thousands of posts about ground wires on the VQ here and on other forums… search around if you are interested in peoples opinion of ground wires relevance – it varies from complete waste to omg it’s the best thing since sliced bread.
