Default What is the best map for Vortech on a Utec

What is the best map for a Vortech V2, running on stock injectors with a High Pressure Fuel pump? I just installed mines and i wanted to know if i could tune it to a better setup on a stock engine. I want to make sure that the utec is delivery the right amount of fuel for the Vortech.

From what i know, basically the Map switch just helps you switch from one map to another, but from what i've read on the manual this is just when you have bigger injectors and you can program the utec to delivery a bigger amount of fuel.

When the utec is installed, should it be kept at the (0) settings?

You need to NOT touch it yourself . Take it some place that knows how to tune cars correctly

the utec is doing nothing if its set to 0. You need to find a tuner immediately

absolutely correct...find a tuner ASAP before your car leaves parts scattered all over the ground (no, I'm not kidding or underestimating!)

Will Do, I just installed it and i haven't touch any setting. I've had an E-manage from Greddy Before and i've tuned a prelude before, but i won't take take my chances with my 350z, and i already have the place were to take it to be tune properly.

This kind of information people wished they could learn to tune thier own car, is more fun to be able to control the power your self.

Thanks for the Advice guys, i won't touch it.

LOL Do a search on all Doug's post and you'll know what Glex is talking about... Or go to the FI forum and post this thread.. Warning make sure you wear your flame suite.

If you have tuned your other car before then it shouldn't take that long before you get yourself comfortable with Utec, just make sure download a copy of the Utec manual and read it 10x and thing will be clearer. You can always download a base map from turboxs.com and that will give you a base for tuning or at least close enough to drive your car to a tuner, but then again I'm assuming you have a basic knowledge in tuning.
